How long should a YouTube description be?
The first 150 characters need to work alone. After that, as long as it is genuinely useful — usually a few short paragraphs plus links.
Do keywords in the description help ranking?
A natural description helps YouTube understand the video. A block of comma-separated keywords has not helped for many years and reads as spam to the people who do expand it.
